18 February 2025, Warsaw - The Republic of Moldova and Ukraine are strengthening their cooperation in the field of European integration. Today, in Warsaw, Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration the Republic of Moldova, Cristina Gherasimov, and Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine, Olha Stefanishyna, signed the Memorandum of Cooperation on European Integration and Accession Process.

'Three years ago, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine chose the path of EU accession. In such a short period of time, we have managed to make considerable progress in the accession process and now we are preparing to open negotiations on the first group of chapters. The partnership we have agreed on today is a reaffirmation of our common engagement to build a European future, a prosperous and safe life for the citizens of both countries', said Cristina Gherasimov.

The document sets the cooperation framework between the institutions coordinating the EU accession process in the two countries and will encourage the exchange of best practices and experience in the harmonisation of national legislation to the EU acquis, the efficient management of European funds, the reforms implementation and the development of shared projects in areas such as green energy, environmental protection or infrastructure.
