Meeting with the Minister of External Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Ivan Korčok

15.09.2021, Chisinau –Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration, Vlad Kulminski and the staff of the Bureau for Reintegration Policies held a meeting with the Minister of External Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Ivan Korčok, accompanied by governmental officials and the Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to the Republic of Moldova, Dušan Dacho.
During the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister, Vlad Kulminski, informed that the efforts of the current Government will be channeled towards promoting national interests. Strengthening cooperation between the relevant public authorities and coordination of their activities by the main institution responsible for the Transnistrian issue will contribute to promoting coherent and uniform policies in the field of country’s reintegration.
Deputy Prime Minister Kulminski stressed the intention of Chisinau to advance in the settlement process that would ensure the functionality of the reunified country and protection of people’s rights and freedoms on both banks.
“It is in the interest of people from the both banks to avoid escalation within such a difficult regional situation. Conflicts in the region have much in common, but at the same time, they are different, and approaches to their regulation should be nuanced. The Government of the Republic of Moldova will consistently promote negotiations in a peaceful, political-diplomatic way, within different dialogue platforms” the Deputy Prime Minister underlined.
