According to the agenda, the Joint Military Command reported about the situation in the Security Zone during September 15-22, establishing that military observers didn’t document serious incidents during this period.

In the context of the increased risk of spreading the infection caused by the SARS CoV-2 virus throughout the country, the members of the Joint Control Commission addressed this subject in the Joint Peacekeeping Forces. There were no active cases of Covid-19 among military contingents, and members of the Commission emphasized the importance of strict compliance with infection prevention and control measures.

While examining the organizational issues, the Commission confirmed Asanov Kairatbek as the military representative of the OSCE Mission to Moldova authorized with the right to participate in the meetings of the Joint Control Commission and working groups.

With regard to the operational conditions of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces located near Vadul lui Voda, the OSCE Mission to Moldova informed the Commission about its readiness to appoint an expert who will provide assistance to the Joint Military Command for implementation of the planned actions. The Commission has not taken a final decision in this regard, but will continue to monitor the works carried out at these posts, which are to be completed by the end of 2021.
