Today, December 13, the head of the Bureau for Reintegration Policies Alin Gvidiani had a working meeting with Alex Roinishvili, President of the United States’ International Non-Governmental Organisation of the “Inclusive Governance Council” based in New York and Shpetim Gashi, Vice-President of the Council.
The discussions focused on topics related to the Transnistrian file: interaction within the dialogue formats on Transnistrian settlement, the difficult human rights situation in the eastern districts of the country, the socio-economic policies implemented by Chisinau, the projects aimed to strengthen the confidence measures and the efforts to maintain security throughout the country.
At the same time, the benefits and opportunities of the European integration process were mentioned, which are highly appreciated by the inhabitants of both banks of the Nistru river and stimulate the achievement of more progress in desideratum of country reintegration.
Alin Gvidiani reiterated the need to maintain constructive dialogue channels and to promote measures within the objective of restoring the single national spaces and final settlement of the conflict on the borders of the Republic of Moldova recognised by the international community.
The Council leadership noted that the work of the international organisation is focused on building trust in democratic values and strengthening cohesion in society, as well as showed openness to develop productive cooperation with the Office on topics of mutual interest.
