During the weekly meeting of the Joint Control Commission held in Bender on December 1st, 2022, the Joint Military Command presented its report reflecting the situation in the Security Zone for the period November 23-29 this year.

In the context of the abusive maintenance of the posts of the Transnistrian force structures, discussions were resumed in order to take a clear decision on the issue.

The Moldovan delegation made conclusive proposals for the draft decision to ensure the withdrawal of all illegal posts and armed personnel abusively installed in the area of responsibility of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces.

During the meeting, the distribution was addressed of obviously false information in the press on the left bank of the Nistru river about an alleged "kidnapping" of a citizen in Bender city, that would have been discussed at the previous meeting of the Joint Control Commission. The Moldovan delegation has uncovered the propaganda and disinformation intentions of the Tiraspol representatives aimed at distracting attention from solving the pressing problems in the Security Zone. The statement signed by the members of the Chisinau delegation states that the actions of the police deployed in the Bender city are carried out in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Moldova and without violating the principles set out in the Agreement dated July 21, 1992.

A new working meeting of the Commission has been scheduled for 8 December.
