A new working meeting of the Joint Control Commission was held in Bender on September 15, 2022.

The Joint Military Command reported about the situation in the Security Zone, and one of the subjects documented by the military observers referred to the detention of the resident of Parata village, Gurie Popa, at the peacekeeping post no. 9-right (the bridge over the Nistru river near the town of Vadul lui Voda).

The delegation of the Republic of Moldova considers such tense situations inadmissible for citizens at the objectives managed by the Joint Peacekeeping Forces.

Given this aspect, the parties ordered the modification of the internal instructions of the military in such a way that similar cases would not happen again.

According to the agenda, the previously initiated discussions continued regarding the abusive installation by the Transnistrian force structures of new posts that hinder free movement in the Security Zone.

The position of the delegation of the Republic of Moldova on this issue remains the same: withdrawal of the illegal posts.

The parties analysed the proposals that had been submitted to overcome the deadlock, but did not reach a consensus, therefore the examination of the subject was postponed for the next Thursday.
