28 August 2025, Chișinău - Head of the Bureau for European Integration (BEI), Ghenadie Marian, today participated in the Moldova Youth Forum 2025. The event brought together over 400 young people from all regions of the country to discuss Moldova's European future, EU enlargement, regional security, digitalisation, education, civic activism and the role of young people in democratic processes.

Ghenadie Marian spoke to the participants about the stages of the accession process, the complexity of the negotiations and the benefits that European Integration will bring to every citizen, especially young people. Head of the BEI also explained that accession does not only mean taking over European legislation, but also applying it in everyday life, so that the Republic of Moldova can become an active and responsible member of the EU.

‘When our country becomes a member of the European Union, we will need people who are ready to represent us with dignity. Those people will be you - today's young people. That is why we at the Bureau for European Integration are investing in young talents, so that in 10 or 15 years, some of you will become European Commissioners, ambassadors or directors in the European institutions. The country's European future depends on the energy, knowledge and values that you will bring along the way’, said Ghenadie Marian.

Moldova Youth Forum is now in its 4th edition and is organised by EURODEV and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in the Republic of Moldova, with the support of the European Endowment for Democracy, the European Commission, the Ministry of Education and Research, the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Moldova, the National Youth Council of Moldova and other partners.
