23rd April 2024 - Today, representatives from the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitisation, the Bureau for European Integration, and colleagues from the Mission of the Republic of Moldova to the European Union are participating in an explanatory screening session of Chapter 10:  Information Society and Media in Brussels.

Meanwhile, members of the working group responsible for transposing Chapter 10 legislation, comprising representatives from the Intelligence and Security Service, the Electronic Governance Agency, the Ministry of Culture, and the Audiovisual Council, are joining the session remotely from Chisinau.

During the explanatory screening session, European Commission members are presenting the Chapter 10 legislation and the new acquis. They are engaging in discussions and evaluations with the Chisinau Working Group on key issues concerning alignment with EU legislation, tailored to the specific requirements of this chapter.

This exercise holds significant importance in preparing the Republic of Moldova for the bilateral screening meeting. Here, the national regulatory and institutional framework, along with the timetable for transposing relevant EU legislation, will be presented.
