7 July 2025, Brussels - Last week, EuroQuiz Moldova 2025 finalists went on a visit to Brussels. For three days, the 15 students and 3 teachers visited the most important institutions of the European Union and discussed with European officials about their role and functioning, as well as Moldova's European path.

They had a memorable dialog with Marta Kos, the EU Commissioner for Enlargement, who shared with them the experience of Slovenia - her home country - in the EU accession process and how this step has brought changes and numerous benefits for the whole society. Commissioner Marta Kos encouraged the young people to be active and involved, but most of all to believe in Moldova's European future.

During their visit, the students also went to the Mission of the Republic of Moldova to the European Union, where they discussed with our diplomats about the files they manage and their role in facilitating communication between Chișinău and Brussels.

The programme also included visits to the Council of the EU, the European Commission, the European Parliament, the Swedish Representation in Brussels, the House of European History, the Experience Europe Museum, the College of Europe and the medieval city of Bruges.

The grand final of the national competition EuroQuiz Moldova took place on 7 May 2025 at the Palace of the Republic. The event brought together 41 teams from all over the country - over 200 students from classes IX-XII - who demonstrated their knowledge of the history, institutions and values of the European Union, as well as the European integration process of the Republic of Moldova. Following the competition, the ‘Balofaghi’ (Vulcănești), ‘Vitejii’ (Chișinău) and ‘Cinci Hași’ (Chișinău) teams took first, second and third places and were awarded with a study visit to Brussels.

The visit to Brussels was organized with the support of Romanian MEPs Eugen Tomac and Dan Barna and the Folke Bernadotte Academy from Sweden.
