ESTONIA TO SUPPORT THE PROFESSIONAL TRAINING OF CIVIL SERVANTS ADVANCING THE EUROPEAN AGENDA

5th July, 2024 Chisinau - Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Cristina Gherasimov, met with Eva-Maria Liimets, former Estonian Foreign Minister. The primary focus of their discussion was the organisation of specialised training programmes for employees of the State Chancellery, the Bureau for European Integration, and other officials from institutions involved in the European integration process.

 

In this context, Cristina Gherasimov highlighted the preparations for the bilateral screening stage and underscored the significance of Estonian assistance, support, and the sharing of experience. They also explored the cooperation between the Estonian Diplomatic School and the Diplomatic Institute in Chisinau aimed at enhancing the professional and practical skills of young public sector employees.

 

Eva-Maria Liimets congratulated Moldova on its progress in the European integration journey and reaffirmed her institution's commitment to supporting the training of civil servants engaged in EU accession negotiations.

 

Deputy Prime Minister Cristina Gherasimov expressed her gratitude to the authorities in Tallinn for their support of Moldova's European aspirations and the assistance provided in advancing the country's European agenda.
