Encouraging linguistic diversity as a bridge between nations
26 September 2024, Chisinau - The team of the Bureau for European Integration joined the students of the Modern Languages Department of the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova to promote linguistic diversity in the context of European integration on the European Day of Languages. It is imperative to be aware that: ‘The advantages of intercultural dialogue open horizons and build bridges of communication and understanding between nations’, said Parascovia Ignat, Head of the Communication and Training Department, in her speech.
The annual European Day of Languages event encourages European cohesion through language education and cooperation.
The European Day of Languages has been celebrated since 2001, at the initiative of the Council of Europe, in all 27 EU countries. In Europe are officially spoken 24 languages.
