DISCUSSION OF TRANSPORT LEGISLATION ALIGNMENT FOR THE REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA ON THE AGENDA IN BRUSSELS
24th May 2024, Brussels - The explanatory session in Brussels continues today with a focus on Chapters 14: Transport Policy and 21: Trans-European Networks. Representatives from the Bureau for European Integration, the Mission of the Republic of Moldova to the EU, and the sector's working groups coordinated by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development are participating in the meeting.
European Commission experts are presenting key provisions of the EU's transport acquis to acquaint candidate countries with European legislation and facilitate its effective transposition into national laws.
Alignment with EU standards in the transportation sector remains a priority for the Republic of Moldova. Enhancing the TEN-T network is essential for fostering connectivity with the European Union, enhancing infrastructure, boosting transport efficiency and mobility in the region, and promoting economic growth.
