Deputy Prime Minister met the UN Women Representative to Moldova, Dominika Stojanoska

16.09.2021, Chisinau – The Deputy Prime Minister, Vlad Kulminski together with the staff of the Bureau for Reintegration Policies held a working meeting with Dominika Stojanoska, UN Women Moldova Country Representative to take stock of the good results of the collaboration between the UN Women Moldova and the Bureau for Reintegration Policies and to point out new areas of cooperation of mutual interest.

 

The Deputy Prime Minister stressed the priorities of the current Government in the field of promoting country’s reintegration policies and reiterated the full openness for implementing new projects aimed at bringing closer the two banks of the Nistru river. In the same vein, the Deputy Prime Minister Kulminski highlighted the availability to support the development and promotion of the 2nd  Action Plan on the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security for the years 2022-2026.

 

The importance of mainstreaming gender dimension in the security and defense sectors was also tackled by the Deputy Prime Minister.  The Bureau for Reintegration Policies should finalize the assessment of the Program and the National Plan for 2018 – 2021 and is going to monitor the 2nd Planwhich is to be promoted.

 

Also, the Deputy Prime Minister welcomed the extension of the up-coming local Action Plan, including within the Security Zone villages and reiterated that Ms. Aurelia Barbaros, Head of the Bureau’s Reintegration Policy Section, remains to be the contact person with regard to this subject.
