Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Cristina Gherasimov, participated in the informal gathering of EU Ministers of European Affairs. The session centred on the rule of law within the enlargement process framework, alongside commemorating the 20th anniversary of the "great enlargement" on 1st May, 2004, when ten Central and Eastern European nations acceded to the European family.

 

The official extended gratitude to the Belgian Presidency of the European Union for the opportunity to provide an update on Moldova's endeavours towards European integration. Additionally, she addressed the initiatives undertaken by the Chisinau government to initiate accession negotiations promptly, and highlighted the efforts of public institutions in aligning with the European agenda.

 

"We must maintain a steadfast sense of solidarity to sustain the momentum of reforms, address both internal and external challenges, and foster European development domestically," remarked Deputy Prime Minister Cristina Gherasimov.

 

Furthermore, today, Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Cristina Gherasimov, engaged in discussions regarding Moldova's European trajectory in bilateral meetings with counterparts from Ukraine, Cyprus, Montenegro, and Ireland. "We underscored the significance of bilateral collaboration and the exchange of expertise in bolstering our nation's pursuit of European integration," she noted.
