2^nd April 2024, Chisinau - Yesterday, Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Cristina Gherasimov, and Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna discussed the security situation in the region and developments in Moldova's European trajectory.

During the phone call, emphasis was placed on the government's progress in implementing the reform agenda aimed at expediting Moldova's accession to the EU.

Simultaneously, Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Cristina Gherasimov, expressed gratitude to Minister Tsahkna for Estonia's robust support for Moldova's European journey, particularly for the affirmative vote at the European Council meeting in December 2023, which led to the decision to commence accession negotiations with Moldova.

The official further underscored Moldova's continued reliance on Estonia's support for the prompt adoption of the negotiating framework and the organization of the inaugural intergovernmental conference.
