10 January 2025, Chișinău - Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov had a telephone conversation with János Bóka, Minister for European Affairs of Hungary. On 31 December 2024 Hungary end its rotating presidency of the Council of the European Union.

‘We discussed on the phone with János Bóka the progress achieved in the last six months and the priorities on our country's European agenda for 2025, namely the opening of negotiations on the first group of chapters related to the fundamental values of the EU’, said Cristina Gherasimov.

The Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration also thanked the authorities from Budapest for the support provided to Moldova in the second half of 2024, especially for the progress made in the process of adopting the Economic Growth Plan for Moldova.
