19th March 2024, Chisinau - Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov spoke by telephone with Andris Pelšs, State Secretary in the Latvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, about Moldova's European integration agenda.

Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov emphasized the progress made in fulfilling the latest three European Commission recommendations and reaffirmed the Government's commitment to advancing the reform agenda. She also highlighted Moldova's interest in leveraging Latvia's experience and expertise in the EU accession process.

The Deputy Prime Minister expressed appreciation for the support and openness from Latvia and emphasized the importance of continued support from Riga in securing the negotiation framework and organizing the first intergovernmental conference as soon as possible.
