DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER CRISTINA GHERASIMOV'S WORKING VISIT TO BELGRADE

12th June 2024, Belgrade - From 11 to 12 June, Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov participated in a multinational workshop on the European integration process in Belgrade.

 

The event aimed to facilitate the exchange of experiences between former chief negotiators of countries that have already joined the European Union and current chief negotiators from eight EU candidate countries - Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Montenegro, Serbia, North Macedonia, Ukraine, and the Republic of Moldova. During the discussions, Cristina Gherasimov highlighted the actions undertaken within the framework of the European agenda, as well as the challenges encountered by our country.

 

While in Belgrade, Deputy Prime Minister Cristina Gherasimov also held a series of bilateral meetings with Tanja Miščević, Minister of European Integration and Chief Negotiator of Serbia; Bojan Marichikj, First Deputy Prime Minister of North Macedonia in charge of European Affairs; Tedi Dobi, Deputy Minister of Justice of Albania; Elvira Habota, Head of the Directorate for European Integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina; Predrag Zenovic, Chief Negotiator of Montenegro; and former Chief Negotiators of Croatia and the Czech Republic, Tamara Obradovich Mazal and Pavel Telička, respectively.

 

In her discussions with these officials, Cristina Gherasimov addressed Moldova's priorities in the field of European integration for the upcoming period and emphasised the importance of exchanging best practices between EU Member States and pre-accession countries.
