Deputy Prime Minister Cristina Gherasimov is scheduled to embark on a working visit to Brussels and Berlin
10th March, Chisinau - From 11th to 14th March, Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov will undertake a working visit to Brussels, followed by a visit to Berlin on 15th March. Accompanying Deputy Prime Minister Gherasimov will be colleagues responsible for analysing European legislation from various ministries, including Labour and Social Protection, Interior, Finance, Health, Education and Research, Infrastructure and Regional Development, Economic Development and Digitisation, and Environment.
The delegation will also comprise representatives from the National Bank of Moldova and other public institutions. Throughout the visit, they will participate in several explanatory sessions on EU legislation, focusing on specific chapters such as:
Chapter 2: Free movement of workers
Chapter 3: Right of establishment and freedom to provide services
Chapter 7: Intellectual property law
Chapter 8: Competition policy
Chapter 9: Financial services
The sessions are part of the evaluation process of EU legislation, where the European Commission presents and explains each chapter of EU law.
On 15th March, Deputy Prime Minister Gherasimov will proceed to Berlin, where she is slated to engage in meetings with several German officials, including Anna Lührmann, Minister of State for Europe and Climate. Additionally, during her time in the German capital, the Deputy Prime Minister will partake in the conference titled "Strengthening Europe - Managing Enlargement and Reforms in the EU Simultaneously", organised by the Green parliamentary group in the Bundestag.
