28th March 2024, Paris - Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Cristina Gherasimov, held a meeting with Jean-Noël Barrot, Minister Delegate for Europe at the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs. The officials deliberated on recent developments in Moldova's European trajectory and outlined forthcoming steps by the authorities.

 

During the discussion, Deputy Prime Minister Gherasimov underscored the Chisinau government's anticipation of the prompt adoption of the negotiating framework and the organization of the inaugural intergovernmental conference to formally initiate accession negotiations.

 

Furthermore, Deputy Prime Minister Gherasimov expressed gratitude to France for its significant support extended to Moldova in recent years, encompassing the path towards European integration and various modernization endeavors in economic, energy, infrastructure, and defence domains.

 

Highlighting the ambitious reform agenda of the Chisinau government, Deputy Prime Minister Gherasimov assured Minister Jean-Noël Barrot of the steadfast commitment to sustaining the momentum of progress.
