During her official visit to Tirana, Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov conducted several bilateral meetings today. The discussions centred on Albania's journey toward European integration and the potential for collaboration between Albanian and Moldovan institutions.

In her meeting with Adea Pirdeni, Minister of State for Public Administration and Anti-Corruption and former Albanian negotiator for the Justice and Fundamental Rights chapter, the focus was on the ongoing reform processes undertaken by both governments. Specifically, they addressed matters concerning justice reform and the fight against corruption, recognizing these as pivotal prerequisites for initiating and concluding negotiations with the EU, as well as for the overall prosperity of the nation and its citizens.

During the meeting with Majlinda Dhuka, Minister of State and Chief Negotiator of Albania for EU accession, discussions revolved around the current progress of both countries in the European integration process. The officials deliberated on Moldova's European integration agenda, the explanatory screening procedure involving institutional teams, and explored avenues for enhancing the exchange of best practices between the two nations more effectively.
