7^th March, Chisinau - Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Cristina Gherasimov, held a telephone conversation with Hadja Lahbib, Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Affairs, Foreign Trade, and Federal Cultural Institutions of the Kingdom of Belgium.

During the discussion, the officials delved into our country's European integration priorities for this year and the Government's progress in implementing the last three recommendations of the European Commission. They underscored the authorities' commitment to advancing reforms aimed at expediting Moldova's accession to the European Union.

Deputy Prime Minister Gherasimov expressed gratitude to Minister Lahbib for Belgium's invaluable support in the Republic of Moldova's transformation and democratization process, as well as its backing for our European trajectory, particularly as Belgium currently holds the rotating Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

Furthermore, Deputy Prime Minister Gherasimov reiterated appreciation for Belgium's affirmative vote in December 2023, endorsing the launch of accession negotiations with the Republic of Moldova.
