Deputy Prime Minister Cristina Gherasimov engaged in discussions with the State Secretary for European Affairs, International Law, and Protection of Interests of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia

12th March, Chisinau - Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov held a telephone conversation with Marko Štucin, State Secretary for European Affairs, International Law, and Protection of Interests at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia.

 

The discussion primarily revolved around the progress made by Moldovan authorities in addressing the last three recommendations of the European Commission, as well as the current priorities of the government concerning the country's accession to the European Union.

 

Deputy Prime Minister Cristina Gherasimov reiterated Chisinau's unwavering commitment to continuing the necessary reforms to advance the European agenda. She also expressed gratitude to Slovenia for its steadfast support of Moldova, including its affirmative vote at the European Council in December 2023, which paved the way for opening EU accession negotiations with the Republic of Moldova.

 

Both parties underscored the mutual interest in fostering and enhancing cooperation in the realm of European affairs and affirmed their willingness to exchange best practices that contribute to the Euro-integration process.
