18th March 2024, Chisinau - Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov held a telephone conversation with Marek Eštok, State Secretary for European Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovakia.

The discussion centered on the extent of the implementation of the European Commission's most recent recommendations and the progress in executing the reform agenda, designed to expedite Moldova's path to EU membership.

Deputy Prime Minister Gherasimov reaffirmed the Government's dedication to continuing its ambitious reforms to modernise the country and align it with European standards.

She also expressed appreciation for Slovakia's support on Moldova's European path, particularly for its positive vote at the European Council meeting in December 2023, which paved the way for the commencement of accession negotiations with the Republic of Moldova.
