Deputy Prime Minister Cristina Gherasimov, during her visit to BAlTi, expressed her satisfaction at aligning with the European spirit and discussing the benefits of accession to the European Union

19th May 2024, Balti - Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Cristina Gherasimov, visited Balti on Sunday, May 19th, where she commemorated Europe Day alongside hundreds of Balti residents. The celebrations were graced by the presence of Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Doina Gherman, Ambassador Jānis Mažeiks, and Ambassadors from EU member countries.

 

"I found great pleasure in engaging with the warm and inquisitive people, embracing the spirit of Europe, and discussing the advantages of EU membership for every citizen and locality in our nation. European integration stands as the project of our generation, one that has the capacity and necessity to unify us", remarked Cristina Gherasimov.

 

During interactions with citizens, she articulated that a peaceful and liberated future, coupled with opportunities for growth and advancement, is the shared desire of all citizens, regardless of their background - be they entrepreneurs, employees, students, or retirees, whether Moldovans, Ukrainians, Russians, Gagauz, or Bulgarians. "To this end, we have initiated transformations aimed at enhancing our quality of life. These efforts are not for the sake of Europe, but for ourselves, for those who envision their future within Moldova".

 

Cristina Gherasimov extended congratulations to the people of Balti for hosting the event and expressed gratitude to all those who participated in celebrating the diversity and splendor of the European project. She reiterated a resolute affirmation for a European Moldova, a vision cherished by present and future generations alike.
