DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER CRISTINA GHERASIMOV AT THE CONFERENCE ON EUROPEAN PARLIAMENTARY ELECTIONS: "WE ARE COMMITTED TO TRANSFORMATION AS A COUNTRY, AN ECONOMY, AND A SOCIETY"
18th June 2024, Chisinau - The future landscape of Europe following the recent European parliamentary elections and the implications of the election outcomes for Moldova’s European integration were key topics at the round table organised today by the Institute for European Policies and Reforms (IPRE) and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS).
Attending the event, Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Cristina Gherasimov, underscored the significance of the configuration of European institutions for the Republic of Moldova's future agenda.
"We have very good friends in Brussels and in European capitals who strongly support our European path. It is important that the dialogue on reforms and the future of the EU continues at that high level. We will continue to prepare the entire country for accession, aiming to be ready to take this step towards 2030. Everything depends on political developments in the country and in Brussels. We are committed to transforming ourselves as a country, an economy, and a society to fully navigate all the stages that a candidate state must undergo", stated Cristina Gherasimov.
The Deputy Prime Minister also highlighted the advantages of Moldova's inclusion in various European programmes, which facilitate interaction with European institutions and enable the Republic of Moldova to contribute to maintaining the stability and competitiveness of the EU on a global scale.
