The Delegation of the Republic of Moldova to the Joint Control Commission

The Delegation of the Republic of Moldova to the Joint Control Commission (JCC) represents the interests of the Republic of Moldova in the JCC and directly participates in the implementation of the Agreement on the principles of a peaceful settlement of the armed conflict in the Transnistrian region of the Republic of Moldova, signed by the Republic of Moldova and the Russian Federation on 21 July 1992.


Moldovan delegation to JCC represents the interests of the Republic of Moldova and provides multilateral assistance to the process of political and peaceful settlement of the Transnistrian conflict.


Moldovan delegation to JCC is a permanent working body that aims to ensure control on the compliance with the ceasefire agreement, to implement the arrangements for withdrawal of armed forces and other formations, military equipment and weapons, to ensure continuous monitoring of the security situation, as well as to contribute to the peaceful settlement of the conflict by political means.


In order to ensure the fulfillment of the Agreement of July 21, 1992, the operational military contingent of the peacekeeping forces of the Republic of Moldova (within the Ministry of Defense) is assigned for subordination to the Moldovan delegation to JCC.


In its work, the Moldovan delegation to JCC is guided by the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova, the Moldovan legislation, the Agreement on the principles of a peaceful settlement of the armed conflict in the Transnistrian region of the Republic of Moldova of 21 July 1992, other documents signed by the parties in the negotiations process on the JCC activity, by the Government Decision no. 372 of 18 June 1993 "On the principles of activity and social protection of military observers and of contingent for the regime of ceasefire and security in the conflict zone", with ulterior amendments, by the Government Decision no. 515 of June 20, 2010 "on the Joint Control Commission of the Republic of Moldova", the Government Decision no. 744 of October 3, 2011 "For the approval of the Regulation on the activity of the Republic of Moldova delegation to the Joint Control Commission" and by other Government decisions on the issue concerned.
