31 January 2025, Chișinău - Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov announced that this year she plans to visit schools and universities in the country in order to discuss with pupils and students about the European Union. The first institution she visited this week was the 'Mircea Eliade' Theoretical High School in Chișinău.

'We had a frank discussion with the students. We tested each other's knowledge about the European Union, we discussed the European institutions and the values that are at the basis of a united Europe. We told the students about the work we do every day in the Government and about the major role of young people in supporting the European path of our country', said Cristina Gherasimov.

According to the Deputy Prime Minister, most of the students are aware of the benefits of the European integration, and some of them are even preparing to follow a European Studies faculty after graduation. 'I encouraged them to be active at school and in society, to follow their dreams, to get involved in promoting European values and to trust in their country'.
