3 March 2025, Chișinău - Three years since the signing and submission of the application for accession to the European Union, our country hosted the new President of the European Council, António Costa. His visit to Chișinău, on such a symbolic day for the Republic of Moldova, confirms the European Union's firm support for our country.

'It is also a demonstration that our efforts are appreciated and the path towards the EU is taking shape through investments in all areas, institutional reforms and new opportunities for the citizens of the Republic of Moldova,' said Cristina Gherasimov.

The Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration highlighted that European integration continues to be a key priority on the Republic of Moldova's agenda, and the support of European partners, states and institutions is important in the process of moving the country closer to its national target.
