30 July 2025, Vilnius - Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov is in Vilnius these days. Today she had a meeting with Kęstutis Budrys, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania. Discussions focused on Moldova's European agenda and the efforts of the Chișinău authorities to prepare for the accession process.

‘Lithuania is a member state of the European Union for more than 20 years, and its example of transformation is a source from which we learn on our way to the EU. In this respect, the experience and lessons learned by Lithuania are important for us and can continue to help us modernize our localities, have more efficient public institutions and create better living conditions for every citizen’, Cristina Gherasimov said.

Deputy Prime Minister thanked the authorities in Vilnius for the expertise and assistance provided to the Republic of Moldova through projects dedicated to its citizens, as well as for the support given to the country's European path.
