18 February 2025, Warsaw - Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov participated today in the informal meeting of the EU General Affairs Council in Warsaw. The event brought together Ministers and State Secretaries for Foreign and European Affairs from EU Member States and candidate countries to discuss hybrid threats to the EU enlargement process.

‘It was a good opportunity to share Moldova's experience in combating hybrid threats that are trying to destabilize our country and our European path. We talked about the efforts we are making to combat manipulation, to strengthen our resilience and security, but also to defend our democracy. Disinformation and the use of energy as a weapon are real challenges for both authorities and citizens. But we remain firmly committed to the European path we started almost three years ago,’ said Cristina Gherasimov.

The Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration emphasized that our country has all the necessary support on its European path: ‘Moldova is not alone. We enjoy the full support of the institutions and the Member States to continue our path and fulfill our national wish - our country to become an EU Member State’.
