Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Cristina Gherasimov, attended the Gala of Moldova-born Students on Sunday. During the Gala she met several young people from Moldova who are studying abroad but are still connected to their country of origin. 

'I congratulated them on their achievements in 2024 and highlighted that, as being some of the top students at their universities, they also serve as ambassadors for our country, building Moldova’s reputation around the world,' said Cristina Gherasimov.

At the same time, the Deputy Prime Minister encouraged young people to believe in themselves and in the Republic of Moldova, and to return home after graduation, as their contribution today is more valuable than ever, right here, at home: 'On the European path that Moldova is pursuing, we need dedicated and talented professionals who will be fully committed to the transformation of our country.'

The Gala of Moldova-born Students has reached its 12th edition. Held annually at the end of December, the event gathers young people studying outside the country to celebrate their academic achievements.
