8 April 2025, Brussels - At the invitation of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats - the second largest political group in the European Parliament - Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Cristina Gherasimov, attended the conference 'A common new chapter for EU enlargement'.

At the opening of the event, the Deputy Prime Minister, with her counterparts and colleagues from Ukraine, Albania and North Macedonia, discussed the Republic of Moldova's progress on the path towards the EU, the future of the European Union and the importance of its enlargement.

'Europe will be truly safe when there will be peace and stability throughout the continent. We share the same values, which bind and define us as European states', said Cristina Gherasimov.

In the context of the event, the Deputy Prime Minister also spoke with MEPs Kathleen Van Brempt, Thijs Reuten and Marta Temido, expressing her gratitude for their support for our European path.
