20 March 2025, France - Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Cristina Gherasimov, met with Cédric Perrin and members of the Senate Foreign Affairs, Defence and Armed Forces Committee during a working visit to Paris.

During the discussions, was reviewed the progress made on the Republic of Moldova's European agenda over the last three years, despite the security challenges in the region and hybrid threats.

The officials also addressed the subject of energy security, efforts to counter misinformation and strengthen our country's resilience.

'We underlined, during the meeting, that joining the EU is not only a strategic goal for our country, but also a necessity to protect our democracy. We are grateful to our French partners for their friendship and constant support in the process of our rapprochement with the big European family,' said Cristina Gherasimov.
