6 November 2024, Chisinau - Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov discussed with several representatives of civil society the conclusions of the UE Enlargement Package for Moldova, published by the European Commission a few days ago.

The meeting reviewed the progress made over the past year and priorities for the coming year.

’We discussed how we can better coordinate and synchronize our efforts so that, together, we can succeed in preparing the Republic of Moldova for EU membership. The constant consultation and involvement of civil society organizations is a defining element of an inclusive decision-making system in a strong democracy that we want to develop’, said Cristina Gherasimov.

The Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration thanked the voluntary sector for the contribution it has made this year in screening exercises, analyzing national legislation in relation to EU legislation and in monitoring government action.
