Another 120 doses of anti-COVID-19 vaccine were donated to the Transnistrian region and 2,000 doses were distributed from a new batch of assistance offered to the Republic of Moldova.

12.04.2021, Chisinau – The representatives from Tiraspol took over the 120 doses of Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine of the total 942 doses that were distributed free of charge to the localities from the left bank of Nistru and Bender municipality. The previous 822 doses were collected on 6 April.
Chisinau informed Tiraspol, through the communication channel of the political representatives, about the availability to send free of charge another 2000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine from a new donation batch offered by Romania to the Republic of Moldova. Therefore, the profile experts from the region picked up the accompanying documents and will soon complete the necessary formalities for transporting the vaccines and administer them in the eastern districts of the country, according to the distribution ordered by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection.
Besides the 2000 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine, the experts will also pick up 2000 syringes of 0.5 ml for the vaccination process and 20 safety boxes for collection of used syringes from the National Vaccine Depot within the National Agency for Public Health.
