We must get winners from this uneasy year of 2014,” Acting Prime Minister Iurie Leanca says in an interview published in the Infogov governmental magazine on 31 December.

Leanca also refers to the most significant achievements of 2014. „We have ensured stability in Moldova, which is extremely important taking into account the crisis in the region, as well as the parliamentary elections. Then, it is about the firm steps taken by Moldova on the European integration path. And these successes are much more valuable as they change for the better people’s life,” Leanca added.

Iurie Leanca thinks that the motto that the new government should guide on is „A strong and clean country”.

As to the issue on what the future government programme will focus, Leanca says: „In a way, I could say that the future government programme is very simple – we have the Association Agreement, which is a true reform agenda, based on a far-reaching programme on adjusting the Moldovan legislation to the standards of the European Union, and which may and must become the foundation necessary to modernise Moldova. But, to happen this, few essential ingredients are necessary: work, dedication, integrity – all that, in fact, is called political willingness. As to me, I am decided to go forward. I became Minister of Foreign Affairs namely to provide a European future to Moldova. I accepted, the post of prime minister in 2013, as I wanted to continue the way of changes for the better for the entire country. And I am ready to continue my work as prime minister, in order to achieve the European future”.
