262 575 anti-covid-19 vaccine doses have been distributed to inhabitants from the transnistrian region

According to the established practice and as a follow-up of the whole-of-the-country assistance approach for preventing, combating and eliminating the risks caused by COVID-19 , Chisinau’s competent authorities ensured constant distribution and delivery of vaccine batches received by the Republic of Moldova, as humanitarian aid or procured from state budget resources.
The vaccines were distributed based on the orders issued by the = Ministry of Health and proportionally to the number of population registered with the = respective administrative-territorial unit. During this year, the beneficiaries from the Transnistrian region received 262 575 anti-COVID-19 vaccine doses, as follows:
AstraZeneca – 18410 doses
Sinopharm – 25001 doses
Johnson&Johnson/Janssen – 29600 doses
Pfizer/BioNTech-Comirnaty – 42564 doses
Sinovac – 65000 doses
Sputnik V – 82000 doses.
A number of 174904 doses of vaccine (105446-1st dose and 69458-2nd doses) was administrated in the Transnistrian region, according to the available information since the beginning of the vaccination campaign (March 2, 2021) until November 9, 2021.
In the same time, healthcare professionals attended a series of trainings organized by the relevant authorities of the Republic of Moldova on the administration of each vaccine dose, organization of population immunization process, vaccination of pregnant and breastfeeding women, vaccination monitoring, systematization and reporting of data on the vaccination process.
It should be also reminded that vaccinated persons from the Transnistrian region hold confirmative certificates, issued on a centralized basis and included in the Single National Register of Vaccinated Persons, that might be reconfirmed, as appropriate, in the public medical-sanitary institutions on the right bank of the Nistru river.
