‘The Republic of Moldova is on the right course. Today's report of the European Commission shows that our country is strengthening democracy and justice, defending the fundamental values, growing the economy and the labour market, taking steps to improve the quality of education, providing citizens with safer and cleaner energy, but also that we are now preparing our institutions for our future in the European Union’, stated the Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Cristina Gherasimov.

NB: The Enlargement Package notes the level of preparation of the candidate countries for EU membership, but also evaluates the level of progress made over the past year.
